The Museum of the Ancient Agora of Athens is housed in the reconstructed Stoa of Attalos, originally erected in the 2nd century BC as a gift from King Attalos II of Pergamon to Athens. Its exhibitions draw on the systematic excavations of the American School of Classical Studies and present finds spanning the Neolithic to the Post-Byzantine and Ottoman periods.
