Hampton Court Palace is a Grade I listed royal palace in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, located on the River Thames southwest of central London. Built in 1514 for Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, it later became a favourite residence of Henry VIII and was expanded in the Tudor style.
